Derby Triathlon
This Swimming pool based triathlon is aimed at all levels of fitness and ability, whether it's your first triathlon or you are the next Olympic hopeful.  Last year over 43% of the field were new to triathlon.

Multisport series
£1500 Prize pot
This year we are proud to announce the blue seventy multisport series. To qualify you need to complete 3 out of the possible 5 duathlon or triathlon events listed on the left and you will automatically be listed in the series standings



Venue
The Carsington Short Course Duathlon is set in the scenic countryside of the Derbyshire Peak District. Carsington Water is situated off the B5035 between Ashbourne and Wirksworth.
Carsington Water is an excellent venue with plenty of car parking, numerous shops and an on site restaurant (which provides a superb viewing area for spectators) offering hot meals, snacks and refreshments. For the children - a great outdoor play area.

Start
The event will be split into 2 waves 0800 and 0815

Run 5K
The first run is an undulating, out and back route along side the reservoir, the course is traffic free on country tracks and footpaths.

Bike 30K
This will take you on a loop through the beautiful Derbyshire Peak District on an undulating course, all on roads.  With a challenging climb towards Middleton Top. The route will be marshaled and signposted throughout but extra care should be taken on some of the steeper descents.

Run 5K
After taking in the sights on your bike, you will head out onto the out and back run, repeating the first run.

Feed Stations
High Five are the official drinks sponsor of the Carsington ‘Short Course’ Duathlon and will be manning the feed stations (High Five Energy Source). If you would like to purchase this to try before the event our sponsors Total Fitness are giving a special offer at www.TFN.uk.com.

Marshals
We are always in need of marshals on the course so if there are any partners or friends out there that are willing to help please get in touch with us and you will be rewarded with a goody bag and t-shirt.

Race Rules
This will be held under the rules of the British Triathlon Association. As always, your bicycle must be in a road worthy condition and an approved cycle helmet must be worn, A BTA referee will be present throughout the day. Full BTA rules can be found on www.britishtriathlon.org

Prizes
There will be prizes in most categories including first team, vets etc.. All competitors will receive a a race event tee shirt upon completion
